Sana'a: The Yemeni Badminton Federation successfully concluded the Future Championship for juniors and youth, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and funded by the Youth and Children Care Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for the Sports Sector, Ali Hadban, extended his congratulations to the participants on the occasion of Rajab Friday. He praised the high technical standards observed during the tournament, highlighting the growing focus on age-group development in Yemeni sports.
Moeen Jarallah, President of the Federation, applauded the players' performance and competitive spirit throughout the event. He emphasized that these young athletes represent the foundation for the future of badminton in Yemen, underscoring the importance of nurturing talent from a young age.
The championship concluded with the winners being awarded medals, trophies, and cash prizes. In the boys' youth category, Ali Hajar emerged victorious, while Wael Sabr claimed the top spot in the boys' under-10 category. Sara Sabr won first place in the girls' under-10 category, showcasing the promising potential among the young participants.
In recognition of its support for the championship and the broader development of badminton in the country, the Ministry of Youth and Sports received a federation shield.
