Sana'a: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance has issued a call for all citizens in the capital, Sana'a, and other governorates to participate in the Rain Prayer (Salat al-Istisqa) tomorrow, following the Friday prayer. This initiative seeks the mercy of Almighty Allah upon the land and its inhabitants, with the aim of reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, during a time when rainfall has been delayed.

According to Yemen News Agency, the call from the Authority arises from an urgent need for water due to the lack of rainfall. It emphasizes the importance of turning to Allah Almighty with supplications, seeking forgiveness, and sincere repentance. The Authority encourages citizens to draw closer to Him through acts of obedience and righteousness.

The statement from the Authority urges scholars, preachers, and guides to remind the public of the importance of compassion, solidarity, and the avoidance of sins. It calls for the giving of charity (Zakat) and supplications from humble and repentant hearts, hoping that Allah may alleviate hardship, grant mercy, and bless the land and its people with beneficial rainfall.

The Authority stresses the need for widespread public participation in this act of worship. It highlights the significance of responding to Allah Almighty's command in seeking His mercy, hoping for His blessings upon Yemen and its people, and praying for the descent of His blessings from the sky and the emergence of the earth's goodness.
