Hodeida: The Educational Coordination Council for public and private universities, private colleges, and educational and technical institutes in Hodeida province discussed activities to mobilize broad participation in the central event commemorating the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. The meeting, chaired by Hodeida undersecretary Ahmed Al-Bishri, was held at Hodeida University in the presence of University Rector Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahdal.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bishri emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday in a manner that strengthens the connection with the Prophet, his family, and the righteous guides, embodying the values and principles of the Muhammadan message. He highlighted the role of educational institutions in raising awareness of the dangers threatening the nation's identity, values, and resources, particularly the impact of soft warfare on young people's awareness, culture, and behavior.
Al-Bishri called on public and private universities, colleges, and institutes to coordinate their efforts and actively mobilize for the central event scheduled for 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. This reflects the occasion's significance to the people of the governorate.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahdal, Hodeida University Rector, reviewed the cultural, awareness-raising, and mobilization activities being organized by the university to commemorate the Prophet's birthday. These activities include Quran memorization and Quranic culture competitions, donation and cleanliness campaigns, support initiatives, and charitable activities.
He explained that the university continues its general mobilization programs, notably the completion of 'Al-Aqsa Flood' training courses for university staff and students at colleges and educational centers. Additionally, cultural courses for female students contribute to raising awareness and strengthening social responsibility.
Al-Ahdal also reviewed measures being implemented by the university to strengthen religious identity, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts among educational institutions to mobilize and ensure broad participation in the central event commemorating the Prophet's birthday.
