Al-jawf: The General People's Congress has issued a forceful condemnation of the recent Saudi airstrike targeting the Central Correctional Facility in Al-Hazm District, Al-Jawf Governorate. The attack resulted in the death and injury of 14 inmates, including a child and a woman, although the toll is not yet final.

According to Yemen News Agency, the General Secretariat of the Congress released a statement highlighting the Saudi aggression's continued disregard for moral and human values. The statement emphasized that this attack is part of a series of crimes committed against the Yemeni people since the onset of Saudi aggression on March 26, 2015.

The Congress expressed that the targeting of the correctional facility by Saudi forces is a violation of international and humanitarian laws and norms. It held Saudi Arabia fully accountable for the crime and its legal, moral, and humanitarian consequences.

The General Secretariat urged the international community, the United Nations, and all human rights and humanitarian organizations to take action. The call was for these bodies to condemn the aggression and to take practical measures to deter such crimes and prevent their recurrence.
