According to Yemen News Agency, the event, held in Aflah Al-Sham district, featured remarks by Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, who stated that commemorating the Prophet's birth is not an innovation, as some claim, but rather an expression of gratitude for the blessing of the Prophet Muhammad, as well as reverence, honor, and respect for the Messenger of mercy and humanity and the illuminating lamp.

He described commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a great honor and an opportunity to draw useful lessons and teachings from the Prophet's life that are relevant to the present day. Al-Amir stressed the importance of following the Prophet's example in word and deed, particularly in courage, morality, and striving. He also highlighted the pivotal role played by the Aws and Khazraj tribes and other Yemeni tribes, which took leading roles in spreading Islam and bringing down the most powerful empires of that era.

The Minister of Oil and Minerals called on everyone to participate widely in the central events to be held the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, in Abs, the governorate center, and Aham, to present a celebration reflecting Yemenis' deep-rooted connection with the Prophet as leader, educator, teacher, and exemplary role model.

At the evening, attended by Deputy Head of the Geological Survey Authority Bakil Rassam and Deputy Governor Adel Shali, Deputy Governor Zaid Al-Hakim stressed the importance of commemorating the birth of the final Prophet as an opportunity to renew the pledge to adhere to his approach, in word and deed, and follow his noble morals, principles, and example. He noted that the birth of the Prophet Muhammad marked a turning point in human history, as his divine message liberated people from bondage and idol worship and guided them to worship the One God and embrace the tolerance of Islam.

For his part, Director of the Geological Survey Authority branch Mohammed Al-Qudami stressed the importance of using the occasion of the Prophet's birth to renew loyalty, commitment, and love for the Prophet and draw lessons from his exemplary life and conduct. He described the commemoration as a spiritual opportunity to draw guidance from the life and biography of the Prophet, whose name Allah exalted, and to uphold his exemplary morals, follow his path and conduct, and adhere to the values and principles he brought to humanity in pursuit of success in this world and the hereafter.
