Sana'a: Gold prices fell slightly on Wednesday due to the rise of the dollar, while investors await the minutes of the latest monetary policy meeting of the Federal Reserve (the U.S. central bank) and the U.S. jobs report, which may shed further light on the path of interest rates. According to Yemen News Agency, the price of spot gold fell 0.2% to 4,059 dollars per ounce. U.S. gold futures for December delivery also dropped 0.1% to 4,061.60 dollars per ounce. The rise of the dollar increases the cost of gold for holders of other currencies. Global stock markets declined sharply this week, as the Standard and Poor's 500 index recorded a four-day losing streak due to concerns about AI stock valuations.
