Gold Hits Record High in Spot Trading at $3,860.90 Per Ounce

Sana'a: Gold hit a new record high on Tuesday, heading for its best monthly performance since August 2011, supported by fears of a potential US government shutdown and growing bets on interest rate cuts. Spot gold rose 0.7% to $3,863.90 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery rose 0.9% to $3,893.50.

According to Yemen News Agency, in other precious metals, silver was steady at $46.95 per ounce, while platinum fell 0.2% to $1,597.58, and palladium fell 0.8% to $1,259.02.
