London: Gold prices rose on Friday as investors sought bargains following a US interest rate cut, while assessing the implications of the interim trade agreement between China and the United States.
According to Yemen News Agency, by 01:09 GMT, spot gold had risen 0.3% to $4,034 per ounce, bringing its gains so far this month to 4.5%. Meanwhile, US gold futures for December delivery fell 1.1% to $3,955 per ounce.
As for other precious metals, spot silver was steady at $48.92 per ounce, platinum rose 0.2% to $1,613.50, and palladium climbed 2.1% to $1,474.51.
