Sanaa: The Government spokesman Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaity said the downing of a Saudi F-15 fighter jet on Wednesday while conducting hostile operations over Marib Governorate disproves Saudi claims that the strikes against Yemen were not carried out by Saudi Arabia.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bukhaity stated that footage released by the military media showing the wreckage of the Saudi fighter, including the Saudi flag on its fuselage, confirms that the airstrikes against Yemen constitute direct Saudi aggression.
Al-Bukhaity mocked Saudi attempts to hide behind allied militias and hold them responsible for violations committed in Yemen, stressing that Saudi Arabia bears full responsibility for its acts of aggression and violations against the Yemeni people.
He remarked that Saudi attempts to gain sympathy and justify its actions by falsely claiming that Makkah was targeted would not achieve what it had failed to accomplish during 12 years of aggression and siege against Yemen.
Al-Bukhaity indicated such claims reflect the scale of what he described as Saudi Arabia's desperation, failure, and defeat, while praising the Yemeni people's continued support for Islamic and regional causes.
The government spokesman also commended the Armed Forces' battlefield achievements, stressing that Yemenis would continue defending themselves and demanding their rights until victory.
