Ibb: Ibb University today launched its five-year strategic plan 2026-2030. According to Yemen News Agency, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, emphasized the significance of the strategic plan as a pivotal step towards achieving further successes. He highlighted the university's progress in infrastructure, laboratories, and the educational process, as well as its growing presence in scientific research across various specialties.
Dr. Luqman praised the efforts of the university's leadership, academic, and administrative cadres in preparing the plan based on scientific and methodological foundations. He stressed the importance of translating the plan's objectives into actionable projects and initiatives through the collaboration of various educational components.
Dr. Luqman viewed strategic plans as essential tools for directing resources towards priorities, improving institutional efficiency, and enhancing the quality of education and research. He noted the university's ability to adapt to the evolving higher education sector.
The launch event, attended by Shura Council member Nabil Al-Hubaishi and Jibla University President Dr. Abdullah Al-Matri, featured Ibb University President Dr. Nasr Al-Hajili. Dr. Al-Hajili underscored strategic planning as a developmental necessity for educational institutions. He described the plan as a roadmap for turning challenges into opportunities and leveraging the university's strengths, particularly its qualified cadres.
Dr. Al-Hajili explained that the plan was developed through integrated efforts, field surveys, data analysis, and a precise diagnosis of the university's needs, ensuring realistic and measurable objectives. He highlighted the plan's aim to achieve a qualitative leap in education, research, and community service, expand partnerships, and embrace digital transformation.
Abdul Fattah Ghallab, the mobilization official, lauded the university's role in building generations and enhancing scientific capabilities. He emphasized the need to support the university in implementing its strategic plan to enhance its educational and research contributions.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Haboub, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qawas, and Dr. Nabil Al-Afiri reviewed the plan's methodology and strategic directions, based on clear, measurable objectives. The event concluded with the honoring of Dr. Luqman and key contributors to the plan's update.
Attendees also toured facilities, including the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and reviewed ongoing projects and services provided by the Al-Saeed Educational Clinics.
