Sana'a: The Governor of Ibb, Abdulwahid Salah, launched today the work on the rehabilitation and maintenance project of the Ibb-Al-Qa'idah road, specifically the Jiblah junction - Al-Sa'ilah - Souq Shuban section, at a cost of 70 million riyals, funded by the Road Maintenance Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah listened to a briefing from the Director of the Public Works Office, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, and the consultant of the Road Maintenance Fund, Engineer Abdulghani Al-Dhahabi, regarding the project's components, which are being implemented by the General Authority for Roads and Bridges over a length of four kilometers. They explained that the project includes concrete embankment works and repairs, and will continue for a period of six months.
During the launch, Governor Salah emphasized the importance of the project in improving the governorate's infrastructure and enhancing the level of basic services provided to citizens. He stated that the project comes within the framework of the local authority leadership's interest in implementing road projects that connect the governorate's districts and neighboring governorates.
The Governor of Ibb affirmed his commitment to following up on the implementation of the project's various phases, to ensure facilitating traffic flow and reducing problems caused by rainwater drainage, stressing the need for full adherence to the schedule and approved technical specifications. He noted that the implementation of road maintenance and rehabilitation projects is a priority in the local authority's plans, due to their pivotal role in enhancing transportation, stimulating economic and service activities, and alleviating citizens' suffering.
Governor Salah renewed his affirmation of continued coordination with relevant authorities to implement more vital projects that contribute to developing the road network in the governorate, keeping pace with development needs and serving various districts.
