Great Prophet Festival Announces Finalists in Senior Chanting, Poetry Competitions

Sana'a: The judging panel of the 13th edition of the Great Prophet Festival for Artistic and Cultural Creativity on Wednesday announced the finalists in the Senior Chanting and Arabic Poetry competitions.

According to Yemen News Agency, in the Senior Chanting competition, Yousef Al-Aghbari, Mohammed Al-Khashab, Abdullah Al-Rouhani, and Wissam Munawwar have qualified for the final stage. The contestants competing today included Abdullah Al-Rouhani, Yousef Al-Aghbari, Mohammed Al-Murtada, Mohammed Al-Khashab, Ahmed Kazem, Mohammed Harish, Wissam Munawwar, and Murad Al-Akeishi, who secured their places through voting on the festival's 'Musabaqati' app.

In the Arabic Poetry competition, the judging panel announced the qualification of poets Mohammed Al-Sumai'i, Kamal Al-Samouli, Hassan Al-Murtada, and Abdulaziz Ajlan for the final stage. Today's contestants included Hassan Al-Murtada, Abdulaziz Ajlan, Kamal Al-Samouli, Ali Afandi, Jihad Jahzar, and Mohammed Al-Sumai'i, who also qualified through voting on the 'Musabaqati' app.

On the festival's fourth day, the program featured short segments and interludes that showcased aspects of Yemen's traditional heritage associated with past celebrations of the Prophet's birthday. Additionally, a theatrical performance titled 'Forgiving Doesn't Make You Generous' was presented by a group of Yemeni drama and theater stars.
