Hadhramaut: Governor Luqman Baras visited the Badr Scientific and Cultural Center in Al-Sabeen District of the Capital's Secretariat. Governor Baras was briefed on the activities of the summer program at the center, which hosts a select group of students from Hadhramaut alongside their peers from the Capital Secretariat and other governorates, focusing on the memorization of the Holy Quran and its sciences. According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Baras listened to presentations from students and explanations from those in charge of the summer program regarding student engagement in the activities. The visit also included a stop at the shrine of Dr. Al-Murtada bin Zaid Al-Mahthouri, where he recited prayers, and a review of the Badr Mosque library's collection. During his visit, Governor Baras emphasized the importance of summer courses, noting their role in building a conscious generation equipped to face challenges. He highlighted the courses' contribution to strengthening faith-based and national identit y among youth and students, promoting Quranic culture, and protecting students from misleading influences. Governor Baras expressed pride in the distinctive role Yemenis play under the Quranic movement in confronting external adversaries and supporting national causes, especially the Palestinian cause. He encouraged students to leverage the summer program to develop their knowledge and skills. He further commented on the dire situation in the southern occupied governorates due to external influences, expressing hope for improvement and continued opportunities for students to join summer courses in free governorates.
