Hajja Education Sector Protests Saudi Airstrikes on Civilians

Hajja:The education sector in Hajja Province staged a protest on Wednesday, condemning Saudi airstrikes that have targeted civilians and the educational process. The protestors expressed their support for the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces.

According to Yemen News Agency, the participants specifically condemned a Saudi airstrike on a civilian house in Haradh District that resulted in the deaths of six people, including children, and injured a girl. Another airstrike on the Beit Al-Haidah area in Sawan, Bani Hashish District, Sana'a Province, killed a female student and injured three others as they returned home after taking their final exams.

Deputy Training Division Director Yahya Al-Mukhtar read a statement highlighting these incidents as part of a broader pattern of attacks against civilians, students, teachers, schools, and educational facilities. The statement recalled previous attacks on students in Dhahyan and student Ishraq Al-Ma'afa in Nahm District, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia's actions are an ongoing attempt to break the Yemeni people's resistance since 2015.

The statement criticized the international community's silence on these violations of international humanitarian law and called on human rights organizations and the global public to condemn the attacks. It also praised the Yemeni Armed Forces for their advances against Saudi military positions and strikes within Saudi territory.

Furthermore, the statement reaffirmed Yemen's commitment to supporting Palestine and Gaza and urged unity among Yemenis in the north and south to resist occupation and achieve the country's full liberation, along with the restoration of its resources, freedom, and independence.
