Muscat: A meeting in Hajjah province, chaired by governor Hilal al-Sufi, discussed on Wednesday mechanisms and standards for replacing damaged household gas cylinders with new ones. Officials, including the head of the Yemeni Gas Company committee, Mohammed al-Madani, emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to enhance public safety and protect citizens from risks posed by damaged cylinders.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor al-Sufi noted that the approved supply of new cylinders is insufficient for all districts and stressed the importance of collecting all hazardous cylinders. The first phase of the replacement will cover 2,022 cylinders, with additional phases planned, under strict field coordination to prevent damaged cylinders from re-entering the market.
