Hajjah: The Secretary General of the Hajjah Governorate Local Council, Ismail Al-Muhaim, visited Kuhlan Afar District to inspect the summer program activities being conducted there.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Muhaim, along with Mahmoud Wahban, the Director of the Governorate's Economic, Industry, and Investment Offices, examined the implementation of various activities across several summer schools in the district. He received updates from program coordinators on enrollment statistics, with 4,106 students participating across 52 schools in the district's sub-districts. The briefing also included insights into the Quranic studies being offered, focusing on the students' proficiency in the Yemeni method of recitation.
Al-Muhaim acknowledged the significant participation in the summer programs and the active involvement of the community and parents in motivating children to benefit from the courses. These programs focus not only on Quran memorization but also aim to shield students from deviant ideologies and soft warfare tactics.
He emphasized the local authority's dedication to ensuring the success of these summer programs, aiming to cultivate a generation equipped with practical knowledge beneficial for their academic and professional futures.
The Secretary-General also lauded the efforts of the summer program sub-committee and the teachers for their role in providing programs that enhance the scientific and cultural growth of children and youth, as well as in developing various skills.
