Hajjah: A speech event was held in Hajjah governorate on Saturday to celebrate World Arabic Language Day, which falls on December 18. At the event, organized by the Yemeni Creativity Schools, Deputy Governor Adel Shali explained the importance of celebrating World Arabic Language Day, the language of the Holy Quran and the people of Paradise, especially in light of the enemies' insults to the Holy Quran, the most sacred of Islamic sanctities.
According to Yemen News Agency, he emphasized the necessity of strengthening the connection to the Arabic language, which represents the civilization of a nation and is one of the oldest and richest languages.
At the event, which was attended by Ahmed al-Dhalai, Director of the branch of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities, Jamal al-Ghashimi, Deputy Head of the Education Sector, and Yahya al-Mukhtar, Deputy Head of the Training Division, Mustafa Sabah, Head of the Education Sector in the governorate's capital, explained that the Arabic language is a source of strength for the nation.
He pointed out that the aim of celebrating this occasion is to raise awareness of the importance of the Arabic language and encourage everyone to use it in all scientific fields.
The students' speech highlighted the beauty of the Arabic language and its role in promoting faith-based identity and Quranic culture, and its distinction from other languages.
