Hajjah: The Security Department of Hajjah province organized a speech event on Thursday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) under the slogan "Hayhat Minna Al-Thillah" (Far be it from us to Accept Humiliation). This event was attended by the province's Deputy, Adel Farhan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Director of Hajjah Security, Brigadier General Hassan Al-Qasimi, described the Ashura anniversary as a pivotal event in Islamic history. He addressed the motivations behind Imam Hussein's revolution against the Umayyad dynasty, emphasizing his efforts to uphold the values and principles of his grandfather's religion and restore its righteous path.
Brigadier General Al-Qasimi highlighted the significance of the revolution led by the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). He stated that Imam Hussein's struggle has become a beacon for freedom seekers worldwide in confronting injustice and supporting the oppressed.
Abdulmajid Sharafuddin, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, discussed the importance of commemorating Imam Hussein's martyrdom. He emphasized renewing commitment to his path and emulating his virtues, asceticism, and courage in confronting tyranny.
Colonel Ahmed Al-Ghulibi, Director of Facilities and Personal Protection, noted that the tragedy of Imam Hussein's martyrdom was due to Yazidi deviation from the righteous path. He explained that the slogan of the revolution's leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, and the Ansarullah today mirrors the slogan Imam Hussein raised against the tyrants of his time.
