Hajjah: The Office of Social Affairs and Labor in Hajjah Governorate organized a commemorative event to honor the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Haitham Al-Jabri, Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the governorate, expressed pride in celebrating the birth of the Prophet, describing him as a messenger of mercy and an exceptional leader who established the foundations of justice and guided people from darkness to light. Dr. Al-Jabri emphasized the importance of reinforcing values of cooperation and solidarity within society, rallying around wise revolutionary leadership to confront the allies of tyranny and the oppressors of our age, and to thwart schemes by enemies of Islam that attempt to spread falsehoods about the Prophet (peace be upon him).
He highlighted the leadership's efforts to make this year's 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal an unprecedentedly Muhammad-centered occasion, reviewing the hardships the Prophet endured while spreading his message and the historical support of Yemenis in upholding Islam and defending the oppressed in his example. Dr. Al-Jabri also praised the stance of the Prophet's descendants in supporting the people of Gaza, commending the missile strikes against the usurping entity and the pressure imposed on it.
The event was attended by the Governorate Center Director, Essam Al-Wazzan, and deputy directors Abdulrahman Al-Mukhtar and Abdulaziz Al-Warfi. Cultural activist Zain Al-Abidin Al-Dughli spoke about pre-Islamic Arab society and the Prophet's role in spreading the divine message. He stressed the significance of celebrating the Prophet's birthday to strengthen faith-based identity, instill Qur'anic values, enhance resilience, confront the oppressors and their tools, thwart their schemes, and continue supporting Al-Aqsa, honoring the martyrs, including women and children in Gaza.
The event featured performances and anthems by orphanage students and a play by students of Sharia sciences schools. Following the ceremony, Dr. Al-Jabri and Al-Wazzan inaugurated the 'Prophet Muhammad Exhibition,' organized by the Social Affairs and Labor Office. They were briefed by Life Skills Officer Tahani Al-Shahari about the exhibition's contents, which included leather and fabric bags, Congrete and plaster art, handicrafts and gifts, children's furnishings and clothing, accessories, perfumes, incense, as well as paintings and illustrations by artist Amani Al-Mukhtar.
Visitors praised the efforts put into organizing the exhibition, highlighting the craftsmanship, creativity, and quality on display. Additionally, food baskets were distributed by the Social Affairs and Labor Office to several needy families in celebration of the Prophet's birthday. During the distribution, Dr. Al-Jabri called on businessmen and philanthropists to support impoverished families, especially under the current challenging circumstances in the country.
