Hajjah: Work Resumes on Wadi Zaid Barrier Project Through Community Initiative

Hajjah: Work resumed on Sunday on the Wadi Zaid barrier project in Al-Jawana area, Aflah Al-Yaman District of Hajjah governorate, as part of a community-led initiative. Deputy Governor for Agricultural Affairs, Ibrahim Amer, explained that the current work focuses on breaking and supplying about 30,000 stones required for the barrier, following a suspension that lasted several months.

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor for Al-Sharafein Districts, Zaid Al-Hakem, praised the role of the community, local committees, and Aflah Al-Yaman Agricultural Association in supporting community initiatives, backing state efforts in construction and development.

For their part, District Director Khaled Daghshar, Local Council Secretary Ali Al-Mahmari, and Mobilization Official Dr. Mohammed Al-Arjali emphasized the importance of the barrier in irrigating large areas along the valley, contributing to the expansion of agricultural activity in the region.
