Sana'a: The Neighborhood Affairs Department in Hamdan District, Sana'a Governorate, has initiated a series of popular activities and events to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was organized by residents of the Imam Ali neighborhood in the Shamlan area. Talib Dahan, the governorate's deputy for education and youth, highlighted the importance of making the Prophet's birthday an annual occasion to reflect on his life and teachings. Dahan noted that the birth of the Noble Messenger marked the beginning of a new era, emphasizing truth, justice, equality, and societal values, while rejecting oppression and discrimination.
He also mentioned that the anniversary coincides with the ongoing suffering of the people of Palestine in Gaza, stressing the need to adhere to the principles taught by the Prophet Muhammad in confronting injustice.
The evening saw the participation of district director Fahd Attia and neighborhood affairs department director Ibrahim Otaiba. Cultural activist Ali Al-Adhib underscored the importance of remembering the Prophet's legacy, values, and courage in resisting adversaries. The event encouraged emulating the Prophet's guidance and following his path.
The festival, attended by various leaders and social figures, included hymns, poems, and cultural performances, all celebrating the occasion and its deeper significance.
