Sana'a: Residents of Wadi'ah and Bani Mukram sub-districts in Hamadan district of Sana'a governorate organized a speech event on Monday to commemorate al-Wilayah day, held under the slogan "And support those who support him." Local sheikhs and dignitaries attended the event, focusing on the life of Imam Ali and his dedication to the Islamic faith.
According to Yemen News Agency, the speeches at the event emphasized the importance of drawing lessons from Imam Ali's life, particularly his jihad, asceticism, courage, and sacrifices in support of the Noble Messenger. Speakers highlighted that the current state of defeat facing the Islamic nation is due to its abandonment of the principle of Guardianship and the Prophet's commandment on the Day of Ghadir.
The speakers urged the nation to return to the right path by strengthening its loyalty to God, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the beacons of guidance. This, they argued, is necessary to confront the forces of evil and global arrogance. The event underscored the historical support Yemenis have shown for the Prophet and Imam Ali, as well as their ongoing confrontation with "global arrogance" and support for the Palestinian people and their resistance.
The commemoration also featured poetry and performances that reflected the deep connection Yemenis feel with Imam Ali and the Prophet's family, highlighting cultural and historical ties.
