Sana'a: The local council in the Hamdan District of Sana'a Governorate organized an event for the executive offices to commemorate the Prophet's birthday, involving the participation of the Presidential Committee. The gathering was attended by various dignitaries, including Deputy Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, Fahd Al-Ezzi, and Head of the Department of Cultural and Media Affairs, Zaid Al-Gharsi, alongside Deputy Governor Atef Musli. They emphasized that such events reflect the love of the people of Hamdan for the Holy Prophet and their deep connection to his teachings.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event addressed the challenging circumstances in occupied areas and the social, political, and economic difficulties faced due to foreign occupation and control. Fahd Attia, the director of the district, highlighted that these events are part of the preparations for a central celebration scheduled for the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal. He urged cultural and social activists, executive office officials, and social figures to raise awareness about the significance of observing the Prophet's birthday as an expression of loyalty to his teachings and an opportunity to emulate his exemplary qualities and strong stances.
Cultural activist Yahya Abu Awada stressed the importance of maintaining a connection to the Noble Messenger and following his guidance in all aspects of life. He underscored the necessity of addressing key issues facing the Islamic nation, drawing on the Prophet's example for strength and unity. Abu Awada elaborated on the transformative impact of the Prophet Muhammad's birth on human history, as Islam brought unity, reformed souls, inspired minds, and supported the oppressed worldwide.
He further remarked on the historical role of the Yemeni people in supporting the Prophet during his mission, noting the steadfastness and patience of the people of Hamdan in confronting modern challenges. Abu Awada highlighted the Prophet's decision to send Imam Ali to Yemen as a testament to his affection for the Yemeni people, particularly those in Hamdan, who embraced Islam wholeheartedly.
The event, which saw participation from leaders of executive offices, government agencies, and social figures, concluded with a poetic tribute celebrating the occasion.
