Al-jawf: The Head of the Agriculture Sector in Al-Jawf governorate, Mahdi Al-Dhamin, revealed a strategic success for the 1447 AH agricultural season in wheat production in the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Dhamin explained in a statement that field statistical data compiled so far confirms that production quantities have surpassed one million bags of wheat. He considers this achievement a qualitative leap that helps break the chains of foreign dependency and achieve the country's food security.

He also revealed the financial and production indicators achieved in the current agricultural season, with total production reaching 1,021,901 bags of wheat valued at 15.1 billion Yemeni riyals. Approximately 10,000 workers were employed, benefiting tens of thousands of rural families.

Al-Dhamin pointed out that the statistical figures represent what has been documented and sorted, as data from two entire districts have not yet been completed. Additionally, there are very large quantities of wheat for which detailed data have not yet arrived, confirming that the actual total production of the governorate exceeds these numbers. He stated that Al-Jawf governorate has become Yemen's granary.

He praised the high awareness of farmers in the governorate, which was reflected in achieving a high recovery rate of agricultural loans. This ensures the sustainability of support and the continued production cycle for future seasons.

The Head of the Agriculture Sector in Al-Jawf expressed appreciation for the efforts of farmers and the soldiers of the agricultural front, who achieved this accomplishment through their sweat and steadfastness in the field, commending their pivotal role in enhancing national food security.
