Sana'a: Sharaf Al-Hadi, Head of the Planning and Development Committee in the Capital Secretariat, along with Engineer Abdulkarim Al-Houthi, Deputy Secretary for Projects Sector, inspected the ongoing construction activities at the Higher Academy of the Holy Quran and Its Sciences (female students' branch) in the Shu'ub District.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials reviewed the progress of the project, which involves constructing a second floor for the academy. This project, costing 110 million Yemeni riyals, is funded by the local authority in the Secretariat and also includes the rehabilitation and equipping of a hall that was previously destroyed.
In addition, Al-Hadi and Al-Houthi evaluated the progress of another significant project-the completion of the Martyr Yahya Al-Sanwar School in Al-Thawra District. This project, with a budget of 182 million riyals, is also financed by the local authority and aims to construct 22 classrooms with accompanying facilities. Currently, the project has reached a 50% completion rate.
Engineer Tariq Al-Shami, Director of Education Projects in the Secretariat's Works Sector, briefed the officials on the ongoing construction, rehabilitation, and renovation efforts for both the academy and school projects. Al-Hadi and Al-Houthi emphasized the importance of these projects, highlighting their potential to substantially enhance the educational infrastructure and contribute to the educational process.
