Sana'a: Head of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges Engineer Abdulrahman al-Hadrami reviewed on Tuesday the activities of the Determination and Will Foundation for People with Disabilities and the services it provides to a large number of people with special needs. During the visit, al-Hadrami met with the head of the Determination and Will Foundation, Sumaya Al-Emad, and listened to her explanation of the important humanitarian role that this foundation plays in supporting and rehabilitating people with disabilities.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Emad addressed the difficulties facing the foundation that affect the level of services it provides to its residents, most notably the lack of necessary equipment for training and rehabilitating people with physical, hearing, visual, and intellectual disabilities, as well as other psychological, educational, and health services that the foundation provides to approximately 1,500 residents of both genders.

She pointed to the immense suffering of this important segment of society due to the scarcity of support and available resources under the difficult circumstances the country is experiencing as a result of the aggression and blockade. This necessitates a concerted effort from everyone to support the institution and its infrastructure, including equipment and other medical supplies, which contribute to improving and developing its services and alleviating the suffering of people with disabilities.

The head of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges expressed his deep appreciation for the humanitarian role played by the Al-Israr Wal-Irada Foundation in serving one of the most vulnerable segments of society, requiring support from relevant government agencies, the private sector, and philanthropists. He emphasized that serving people with disabilities and alleviating their suffering is a humanitarian and ethical duty for everyone. He called upon all those who are able to help to extend a helping hand to this pioneering institution, which works tirelessly to serve a large number of children who desperately need physical therapy, training, rehabilitation, and psychological support to enhance their abilities and enable their integration into society.

During the visit, al-Hadrami, accompanied by the head of al-Israr Wal-Irada Foundation and several leaders from the Roads Authority, toured the institution's departments, met with many of its residents, and presented them with symbolic support from the General Authority for Roads and Bridges.
