Sana'a: A broad meeting of the health sector in the Capital was held on Sunday to discuss preparations and readiness for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH, as well as the implementation of the Ramadan program plan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the Director of the Health and Environment Office in the Capital, Dr. Motahar, directors of health departments and programs within the office, health offices in the districts, directors of public and private hospitals, health complexes, diagnostic centers, and private laboratories in the Capital. It reviewed general guidelines and operational paths for Ramadan preparations, contributing to campaigns on cleanliness, awareness, and social solidarity.
Dr. Al-Maroni emphasized the importance of preparing people mentally and psychologically for Ramadan, urging all participants to exert efforts across all operational areas, community awareness initiatives, and active participation in proper preparations for the holy month across all health facilities. He stressed the significance of the Ramadan program, encouraging everyone to monitor its implementation in hospitals and health complexes, and to engage responsibly and consciously in charitable and social work, supporting the poor and needy, as it constitutes a comprehensive educational program.
He also called on all to take advantage of the holy month in promoting kindness and compassion within the community, enhancing the performance of the health sector by strengthening medical and therapeutic services, ensuring the availability of qualified and trained staff to provide citizens with high-quality services. Dr. Al-Maroni urged raising health awareness among community members during Ramadan, particularly regarding the health considerations associated with fasting.
He praised several hospitals and health facilities in the Capital for providing outstanding services, calling on all hospitals and facilities to deliver the best possible care to citizens and alleviate their suffering.
