Sana'a: Qasim Al-Masawi, Deputy Governor of Ibb, today reviewed the progress of rehabilitation works on the Al-Bahriyeen - Bald Shar road in the Rural District of Ibb. The rehabilitation works include the construction of two retaining walls in a stepped design in the Mashura area: the first wall is 18 meters long and 2 meters high, and the second is 30 meters long and 2 meters high. The works are being carried out by the Ibb branch of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges Maintenance.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor Al-Masawi emphasized that the project is being implemented in accordance with the directives of the revolutionary, political leadership and the local authority in the governorate, aiming to protect road users from the risks of repeated rockslides. He highlighted the importance of the road, which serves as a lifeline for the residents of Al-Bahriyeen and the surrounding villages, as it is the only route connecting their areas to the governorate center.
He also praised the efforts of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges' branch in executing the project as part of a package of initiatives being carried out in the governorate.
