Sana'a: The first open padel championship, organized by the Tennis, Squash, and Padel Federation and currently being held in Sana'a, witnessed fierce competition in the round of 16.
According to Yemen News Agency, the most notable matches of the Round of 16 resulted in a 9-0 victory for the duo Fares Al-Wazir and Abdullah Al-Marouni over Ibrahim Al-Hadrami and Ali Bassam, a 9-7 win for Mohammed Al-Kabari and Mohammed Al-Maghribi over Mohammed Al-Batoul and Hudhaifa Al-Ariqi, and a 9-3 victory for Abdulmalik Suraih and Mohammed Heba over Abdul-Sattar Al-Hamdani and Abdul-Hamid Al-Saqqaf.
Furthermore, Bakr Al-Akwa and Ahmed Al-Akwa defeated Yahya Al-Hababi and Khaled Atef 9-5, and Mu'tasim Al-Houthi and Ahmed Al-Sama defeated Ibrahim Hajeb and Ahmed Zaki 2-1.
Eighty players from the youth, junior, veterans, and senior categories are participating in the tournament, which is organized as part of the Tennis, Squash, and Padel Federation's plan for the current sports season and will continue until next Saturday.
