Sana'a: The vehicle registration centers in Sana'a and the governorates are witnessing a high turnout from citizens who own right-hand drive vehicles, 7-passenger buses, as well as vehicles and equipment of American origin bearing the American mark arriving at ports and registration committees.
According to Yemen News Agency, this engagement comes as an extension of the facilities provided by the state to citizens in the tax and customs fields, enhancing the partnership between the Tax and Customs Authority and the public, and contributing to overcoming the various challenges resulting from the aggression and blockade.
The Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the turnout at customs registration centers reflects the level of legal awareness among citizens and their keenness to register vehicles and equipment and regularize their status.
He pointed out that the registration of these vehicles and equipment comes in implementation of the directives of the political leadership aimed at finding solutions and treatments that take into account the circumstances of citizens.
In this regard, he affirmed that the Authority has worked to provide many facilities through registration centers to enable citizens to benefit from the directives of the political leadership, and to complete registration procedures through easy and simplified mechanisms.
Dr. Mahdi urged employees in all registration committees to expedite customs clearance processes for citizens and facilitate procedures, calling on citizens to seize the opportunity and benefit from the advantages and facilities granted to imported vehicles, and to complete registration procedures before the specified deadline.
