Sana'a: The Higher Academy of the Holy Qur'an and Its Sciences in Sana'a organized a cultural event on Tuesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan al-Sa'adi highlighted the significance of celebrating the Prophet's birth as a means to strengthen the bond with the Messenger, recall his noble life, emulate his example, and follow his path.
He emphasized the crucial role of academics and students of the Academy in countering false claims promoted by the aggression and its outlets, correcting misconceptions, and raising awareness among young people about the dangers of the soft war that global Zionism seeks to spread among the youth to detach them from their role model, the Prophet.
The minister stressed that the Muslim nation today must return to the Prophet's example to overcome the current state of weakness and decline, and to revive values of cooperation, compassion, solidarity, and benevolence.
He also urged the Academy's students to be role models in their conduct and to contribute to mobilization efforts for massive participation in the central event marking the Prophet's birthday in Al-Sabeen Square.
The event was attended by member of the Association of Yemeni Scholars Azzizi Rajeh and Dean of the Academy Yahya Sharafuddin. In his speech on behalf of the Academy, activist Nabil al-Mahdi said that commemorating the Prophet's birth is not merely a historical occasion, but an opportunity to renew ties with the Messenger and follow his guidance in all aspects of life.
He also recalled the special status the Prophet granted Yemenis when he said, 'Faith is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni,' reflecting their deep connection to him and his teachings. He urged students to actively participate in the large and honorable gathering for the Prophet's birthday on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal in Al-Sabeen Square.
