Afaar Customs Center Foils Attempt to Smuggle Banned Pesticides

Al-bayda: The Afaar Customs Center in Al-Bayda Governorate, in cooperation and coordination with security authorities, foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of banned pesticides.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Director-General of the Center for Customs Control Affairs, Ali Sarqah, stated that the seized shipment included 42 cartons containing 840 cans of pesticides. He explained that the seizure is part of the center's efforts to tighten monitoring at entry points and prevent the entry of unauthorized materials that pose risks to public health and the environment.

Sarqah affirmed that Afaar Customs Center, in cooperation with security authorities and relevant agencies, will continue its efforts to combat smuggling, protect consumers, and safeguard the national economy. This initiative aims to reinforce oversight and protect society from the dangers associated with smuggling activities.
