Al-hodeidah: Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research for Higher Education, inaugurated the Basic Certificate exams for the 1447 AH academic year in Al-Hodeidah Governorate. Deputy Minister Luqman, along with local leaders and education officials, assessed the examination process at various schools including Al-Muhajir Center, Khalid School, Martyr Al-Qasimi School, and Naseebah School in the Bajil and Al-Marawe'ah districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister Luqman inspected the discipline within classrooms and the adherence to examination regulations. He acknowledged the efforts of the supervisory and administrative committees in establishing a conducive environment for students. The Deputy Minister highlighted the need for coordination among educational and administrative bodies to ensure the examination process's success, especially in light of the challenges posed by aggression and blockade.
He underscored the necessity of providing a calm and safe environment for students to take their exams, emphasizing adherence to ministerial guidelines and the importance of maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
In addition to overseeing the exams, the Deputy Minister inaugurated summer course activities at centers in the Bajil and Al-Marawe'ah districts. He explained that these courses aim to harness youth energies, develop academic and cultural skills, and reinforce faith-based values and identity. The simultaneous launch of summer courses and exams is intended to utilize students' time productively, fostering a generation equipped to continue their education and contribute to their community.
Omar Bahr, the provincial education sector official and head of the local examination committee, mentioned that the number of exam candidates reached 29,230 students, spread across 372 examination centers.
