Sana'a: The Higher Education Sector of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, in collaboration with the University of Knowledge, organized a cultural event in Sana'a to commemorate the Day of Guardianship, under the slogan "Whoever I am his guardian, then Ali is his guardian."
According to Yemen News Agency, the Sector's Undersecretary, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, highlighted the significance of the anniversary in protecting the principle of guardianship in Islam. He pointed out its crucial role in safeguarding the nation from adversaries, noting that a lack of understanding in this regard has historically resulted in the nation being dominated by unjust rulers and the guardianship of Jews and Christians.
Dr. Muhammad Mahdi, President of the University of Knowledge, addressed the relevance of the occasion amidst ongoing conflicts involving the forces of arrogance. He remarked that current events in Gaza and Iran reveal the hypocrisy of Western slogans and commended Yemen's efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause.
The event also showcased three working papers discussing the importance of guardianship, its status, and its influence on the nation's present and future. The presentations underscored that the occasion reflects the Yemeni people's deep connection to Imam Ali and his principles.
