Sana’a: On this day, March 6, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition carried out aggressive airstrikes on ancient cities, farms, homes, and service facilities across various Yemeni governorates, leading to injuries and extensive destruction of both private and public properties.
According to Yemen News Agency, on March 6, 2016, coalition aircraft conducted two raids on the ancient city of Baraqish in Marib Governorate’s Majzar District, damaging the old wall and the Himyarite cemetery. A citizen’s house in the Sharara area was also targeted with two raids, while four raids were launched on the strategic Mount Hailan in the Sirwah District. The airstrikes extended to Hajjah Governorate, where agricultural nurseries in Midi District were hit with 11 raids, and Haradh District suffered two raids.
The following year, on March 6, 2017, airstrikes resulted in injuries to two citizens and damage to homes in Sana’a Governorate’s Manakha District. The aggression aircraft also carried out raids in Taiz and Hodeida governorates, targeting educational institutions and residential areas, causing further destruction.
In 2018, the coalition’s air force launched several raids across the Nihm district in Sana’a governorate, damaging homes and farms. The airstrikes continued in Al Hudaydah and Sa’ada governorates, targeting oil factories and farms, and causing damage to citizen properties.
On March 6, 2019, Saudi missile and artillery shelling injured civilians and caused significant damage to properties in Sa’ada governorate, while mercenary fire in Hodeida governorate resulted in injuries to a child. The coalition’s aggressive tactics extended to various locations, with artillery shelling and air raids causing widespread destruction.
By 2020, the Saudi army had launched over 30 missiles and artillery shells on Razih in Sa’ada governorate, causing further devastation. The coalition’s air force conducted raids in Hajjah and Sana’a governorates, while mercenaries in Hodeida governorate continued to attack populated areas, leading to property damage.
In 2021, the airstrikes persisted with numerous raids on Marib and Sa’ada governorates, while spy aircraft and mercenaries continued their attacks in Hodeida governorate, shelling several areas with artillery and live ammunition.
The aggression continued into 2022, with coalition air force raids across multiple districts in Hajjah, Amran, Marib, and Sa’ada governorates. Spy aircraft and mercenaries maintained their bombardment of Hodeida governorate, inflicting further damage.
In the most recent events on March 6, 2023, a citizen was killed and five others were injured due to ongoing Saudi army attacks in Sa’ada governorate’s Shada and Munabih districts. The continuous aggression over the years has left a trail of destruction, impacting countless lives and properties across Yemen.
