Hodeida Approves Measures to Regulate Beit al-Faqih Central Market

Hodeida: A committee from the leadership of Hodeida governorate on Wednesday approved a series of measures aimed at resolving issues related to the central market in Beit al-Faqih district and improving its management and services.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Hodeida Undersecretary for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi. Participants reviewed mechanisms for implementing contractual obligations and correcting the investor's legal and financial status to ensure the market's continued operation in accordance with signed agreements and to address disputes related to investment terms.

Halisi stressed the governorate leadership's commitment to regulating markets, protecting endowment assets, and supporting investors in line with local development objectives.

The committee approved a timetable for settling outstanding financial obligations and instructed relevant authorities to immediately grant the investor access to all market facilities. It also called for regular progress reports to ensure the smooth continuation of commercial activity.

Following the meeting, committee members toured the central market and inspected its facilities and equipment, emphasizing the importance of creating a suitable commercial environment that protects public interests and endowment rights.
