Hodeida: The Public Telecommunications Corporation in Hodeida province has intensified field efforts to promote digital awareness and cybersecurity among summer school students in the southern districts of al-Mansuriyah, Zabid, and al-Tuhaita.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the field visits, the director of the corporation's branch, Ali Makki, along with local officials, reviewed awareness activities aimed at protecting students from online risks and strengthening safe technology use. The initiative is part of a broader Ministry of Communications program to equip youth with essential digital skills and responsible internet practices.
Officials noted that the awareness content focuses on cybersecurity basics, safe internet usage, and leveraging technology for community development. Local education supervisors reported that more than 80,000 students are enrolled across 749 summer schools in the targeted districts, highlighting the importance of such programs amid rapid technological growth.
