Hodeida: Hodeida governor Abdullah Atefi inspected on Tuesday the work at Al-Qanawis Maternal and Child Hospital, focusing on the level of medical services provided and the hospital's needs for medical equipment, supplies, and medicines. Accompanied by Hodeida Undersecretary for Northern Districts Affairs Ghalib Hamza and Al-Qanawis District Director Mohammed Al-Qawzi, Governor Atefi reviewed the operations in the hospital's medical departments, the services offered to mothers and children, and its preparedness to receive patients.
According to Yemen News Agency, Hospital Director Majed Khalil briefed the visiting officials on the hospital's primary needs and requirements to enhance its performance and improve healthcare services. The briefing highlighted the limited support resources previously provided by partners and organizations operating in the health sector.
Governor Atefi emphasized the importance of prioritizing the hospital's needs for support and ensuring the provision of necessary supplies and equipment. This, he noted, is crucial to maintaining the continuity of medical services for residents of the district and neighboring areas. He also reiterated the governorate leadership's commitment to monitoring the conditions of health facilities and addressing their needs to strengthen their capacity, particularly in providing maternal and child health services.
