Hodeida: The General Authority for Tihama Development and the branch of the Tribal Affairs Authority in Al Hodeida Governorate organized a speech evening to commemorate the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday, may the best prayers and peace be upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was graced by the presence of Governor Abdullah Atifi, Deputy Governor Ali Al-Kabari, and Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi, who highlighted the significance of this occasion. Halisi noted that the celebration underscores the Yemeni people's deep connection to the Prophet and their respect for his teachings, as well as their commitment to embodying his principles in action.
Halisi also remarked on the alignment of these celebrations with Yemen's continued support for the Palestinian cause, portraying the spirit of faith and struggle in following the Prophet's guidance and standing with the oppressed.
The Deputy Governor urged a return to the principles of the Prophet and stressed the need for unity in facing challenges and upholding the values given by the Noble Messenger.
In their speeches, Ali Hazza, Chairman of the Tihama Development Authority, Ibrahim Shara'i, Director of the Tribal Affairs Authority in the governorate, Sheikh Rajhi Zalil, and scholar Sheikh Ahmed Mutair discussed the enduring bond between Yemenis and the Prophet. They reiterated that the celebration is a testament to the high regard in which Yemenis hold the Prophet and serves as encouragement for resilience in the face of adversities.
The speakers also addressed the transformative power of the divine message, highlighting its role in guiding humanity from darkness to enlightenment with the Prophet's birth.
They raised concerns about attempts to ban the celebration, viewing such efforts as moves to disconnect the community from its religious heritage and undermine the importance of the occasion.
The evening featured religious poems, hymns, and chants, with participation from employees of the organizing bodies.
