Hodeida: Hodeida University launched the third phase of its awareness campaign to boycott American and Israeli products, as part of the national campaign in support of al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign's first day focused on students, faculty, and staff at the College of Arts complex. Awareness brochures and posters were distributed, and guidance sessions were held in classrooms to emphasize the risks of supporting economies considered hostile to the nation.
Hodeida Undersecretary for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi commended the university's efforts in implementing the campaign, describing it as a significant initiative aimed at enabling society to take practical stances against perceived enemies. He stressed that economic boycott serves as both a moral position and an effective means to weaken companies supporting the Zionist entity, urging youth and society to engage with the campaign.
University Rector Dr. Mohammed al-Ahdal stated that the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people. He noted the university's aim to expand public awareness of boycotting enemy products, focusing on schools, private universities, and vocational institutes throughout the governorate. Dr. al-Ahdal highlighted the success of the first two phases and the importance of sustaining and expanding the boycott to include all societal segments.
He called for utilizing media platforms and cultural forums to promote the boycott culture and reinforce a sense of religious and national duty toward the central cause of the Ummah. He affirmed Hodeidah University's commitment to maintaining its role in this initiative.
The University's Media Director and field supervisor of the campaign, Abdullah Taher, mentioned that the campaign activities would continue in the coming days, covering other colleges and university centers. He explained that the campaign responds to growing engagement in Yemen with developments surrounding the Palestinian cause, enhancing national awareness and activating the university's academic and cultural role.
