Hodeida: Hodeida University witnessed a large public march organized by university staff and the University Student Forum. The march condemned the crime of burning a copy of the Holy Quran in the US state of Michigan and the repeated attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the march raised Yemeni and Palestinian flags, banners declaring their disavowal of the enemies of Allah, and signs calling for a comprehensive economic boycott of American and Zionist goods as a religious and humanitarian duty to defend the faith and holy sites. The participants affirmed their pride in adhering to their faith and the Holy Quran in the face of conspiracies targeting the nation.
The participants expressed their outrage at the crime committed by the extremist Jake Lang, who burned a copy of the Holy Quran in Michigan. They considered the silence of the international community and complicit regimes regarding these provocations to be participation in the war against Islam and its sacred sites. They called upon the free people of the world to take decisive stances to deter the forces of global arrogance.
The university rector, Dr. Mohammed al-Ahdal, condemned the insults against the Holy Quran, specifically the burning of a copy of the Holy Book by an extremist in Michigan, USA, at the behest of the Zionist lobby and its agents in Western countries. He also condemned the ongoing attacks and desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and other holy sites. He pointed to the weakness that most Islamic regimes have reached, and their silence in the face of these insults, in contrast to the uprising of free peoples, especially those in the axis of resistance and jihad.
Dr. al-Ahdal renewed the pledge of allegiance and loyalty of all members of Hodeidah University to the leader, Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and his mandate to make appropriate decisions regarding peace and war, and to respond to these violations. He highlighted the role of Hodeidah University, considering it one of the front lines on the western coast in confronting the aggression and the blockade. He called for continued readiness and preparedness for the next round of the conflict and for enrollment in the Al-Aqsa Flood courses at all levels.
A statement issued by the march strongly condemned the act of the American criminal, Jake Lang, in burning a copy of the Holy Quran. The statement considered this act a clear expression of Zionist hatred directed against Islam and Muslims. The statement explained that the repeated desecration of holy sites in the West is orchestrated by Zionist hands that understand that the Holy Quran is the only source of danger to them.
