Hodeidah: The Chief of the Hodeidah Court of Appeals, Judge Ahmed Al-Jarmouzi, conducted an inspection of the primary courts in the Hays and Khokha districts to evaluate their judicial and administrative readiness for resuming operations.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, the security committees officially handed over the two court buildings to the judiciary. Judge Al-Jarmouzi met with the administrative staff to discuss the challenges faced due to the suspension of judicial activities and what is required to restore normal operations.
Judge Al-Jarmouzi examined the filing and archiving of case records, instructing that the current registers be properly documented. He emphasized the need to record any missing files or damage to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
Additionally, Al-Jarmouzi called for an urgent assessment report to outline the immediate needs of the courts. This includes requirements for electricity, building maintenance, office furnishings, security, information systems, and electronic networking. These measures are essential for the courts to resume their work along with other courts in the governorate.
He reassured that the judiciary is committed to providing the necessary resources to restore operations swiftly and enhance judicial services for residents in the Hays and Khokha districts.
