Hodeida: The Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Ribat for Islamic Sciences, situated at the Dahman Mosque in Hodeida, celebrated a significant milestone by honoring a distinguished group of graduates and memorizers of the Holy Quran. This recognition also extended to outstanding students from various scientific institutes, centers, schools, and exemplary study circles.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony witnessed the presence of notable figures such as Member of Parliament Abdullah Khairat and the Deputy Governor for Services, Muhammad Halisi. The event's significance was highlighted by Abdulrahman Al-Warfi, head of the Guidance Sector in the governorate, who underscored the importance of memorizing, reciting, and acting upon the teachings of the Holy Quran. He encouraged attendees to leverage the valuable knowledge provided by the Islamic sciences schools dedicated to the Holy Quran, which receive support from the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, as well as the state and governorate leadership.
Al-Warfi commended the efforts of those managing the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Ribat and the scientific institutes and centers for their commitment to serving the Holy Quran and motivating young individuals to engage in Quranic study circles. He noted the many graduates from previous years and highlighted the ongoing contributions of these institutions. Sheikh Mohammed Amouh, head of the Rabat, emphasized the Holy Quran's role as the nation's safeguard and a cornerstone for societal progress. He congratulated graduates, memorizers, and top achievers for their Quranic knowledge, which equips them to serve both nation and society.
Sheikh Amouh further emphasized the vital role of youth as the nation's hope and future, highlighting their importance in defending and preserving its faith-based identity. He stressed the significance of Quran memorization centers and religious schools in addressing challenges and conspiracies faced by the nation, particularly in the region. These institutions play a crucial role in nurturing a generation equipped with sound religious and scientific knowledge, rooted in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Ahmed Taleb, the ceremony's presenter, reflected on the enlightening role of the Dahman Mosque and its distinguished scholars over the years. The ceremony, attended by influential figures such as the Vice President of Dar Al-Uloom Al-Sharia University, Sheikh Ali Adhabi, Directors of Education and Tribal Affairs, Omar Bahr and Ibrahim Shara'i, and numerous sheikhs and scholars, featured presentations showcasing the religious sciences lectures and lessons received by the students, particularly in the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of 118 graduates, who received certificates of appreciation and prizes. Among them were 23 graduates from the first graduating class of the Intermediate Institute for Islamic Sciences, seven certified reciters of the ten and seven canonical readings of the Quran, 21 certified reciters of the reading of Asim and the narration of Hafs from Asim, 11 Quran memorizers, six graduates from the Manar Tihama Institute for Islamic Sciences, 10 graduates from the second graduating class of the Imam Al-Nawawi Center for Islamic Sciences, 34 outstanding students from various institutes, centers, and study circles, and six outstanding students from the Ramadan program at the Dahman Mosque.
