Dhamar: The Mobilization Awareness System in Dhamar Governorate organized on Sunday the final Ramadan competition for memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran for the year 1447 AH, during which the participants were honored.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the ceremony, Dhamar Governor Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti praised the level of the competition participants and the efforts of all those involved in teaching Quran memorization and recitation. He urged expanding its teaching and celebrating it throughout the year, while focusing on preparing generations equipped with the Book of Allah and Quranic culture.
He considered the graduation of a group of Quran memorizers a qualitative addition to the governorate and a fruit of the Quranic march project, affirming that adherence to the Book of Allah and acting upon it in word and deed is the only way to safeguard, protect, and elevate the nation.
The Dhamar governor pointed out that there are those who show interest in and celebrate teaching the Quran yet stand with the enemy, stressing that Yemen's position remains firm toward Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and any Arab or Islamic country, which should be the stance of the entire nation.
At the ceremony, attended by Shura Council member Hassan Abdulrazzaq and the governorate's mobilization official Ahmed Al-Dhorani, Head of the Guidance Sector in the governorate Abdullah Mashrah explained that the final competition came after activities and preliminary rounds at the district level, selecting outstanding participants in memorization and recitation across several categories: the entire Quran, 15 parts, 10 parts, five parts, three parts, and two parts for students of the 'Generation of the Quran.'
He highlighted the importance of raising generations on the Book of Allah and strengthening faith identity and Quranic culture within them, especially in light of what he described as a fierce war targeting the Holy Quran and the Islamic nation, affirming the continuation of Quran teaching activities throughout the year.
