Sana’a: The House of Representatives, under the leadership of Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, convened today to examine crucial reports from the Services and Local Authority Committees. The session focused on the implementation of the Public Works Project and the impact of recent aggression on local government infrastructures.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Services Committee presented a detailed analysis of the Public Works Project, specifically addressing the recommendations set forth by the Central Organization for Control and Accounting. The report scrutinized the project’s execution in the Capital Secretariat between 2019 and 2020, aiming to identify and rectify any imbalances and enhance service delivery. It covered the project’s goals, review scope, and financial concerns, while also highlighting the Central Organization’s observations and the project management’s responses. The committee concluded with a series of observations and recommendations, though further discussion was deferred to a future session pending the presence of relevant government officials.
Meanwhile, the Council reviewed the report from the Local Authority Committee, which documented extensive damage to government complexes within local authorities due to ongoing aggression. The report detailed destruction in the Capital Secretariat, various governorates, and directorates, affecting sectors such as cleaning and improvement, parks, and slaughterhouses. It also addressed the impact on the Cleaning Fund in Mahwit, Hodeidah, and Hajjah. The report culminated in a set of conclusions and recommendations, with further deliberation scheduled for an upcoming session alongside government representatives.
The session also included a review and approval of previous minutes, with meetings set to resume on Tuesday.
