Taiz:The National Human Rights Authority has condemned Saudi airstrikes targeting two civilian factories in the Al-Mafraq area of Shar'ab district, Taiz province, which occurred early Tuesday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the airstrikes hit a plastic factory and a plastic footwear factory, resulting in the deaths of three workers and injuries to eight others. The strikes completely destroyed both facilities and caused a major fire.
The authority stated that these attacks constitute a war crime under Article 8 of the Rome Statute and a serious violation of Article 52 of Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions, which safeguards civilian objects. It further emphasized that the repeated bombing of the same civilian area indicates a deliberate intention to maximize casualties and property damage, holding Saudi forces fully responsible for the crime.
