Sanaa: Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights, Ali Taisir, engaged in discussions with Yves Van Lo, the Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Yemen, focusing on prospects for expanding joint cooperation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting explored various aspects related to the continuation and enhancement of specialized workshops and training courses in the humanitarian field during the upcoming period. This effort is aimed at bolstering the capacities of civil society organizations in protection and humanitarian work.
During the discussions, Ali Taisir emphasized the significance of ongoing coordination to promote awareness of international humanitarian law principles and reinforce the independence of humanitarian actions. He highlighted that these principles are deeply embedded in the religious and humanitarian values of Yemeni society, serving as a common ground for collaboration among different parties.
