Sana'a: The Prisons Committee and the Capital Sana'a's Health and Environment Office, in collaboration with the Preventive and Curative Medicine Department of the Ministry of Interior, have initiated a series of humanitarian and service activities aimed at supporting prisoners and detainees in Al-Sabeen Security District and juvenile care homes in the capital.

According to Yemen News Agency, the activities encompass a medical camp, the distribution of the Holy Quran and cultural materials, prison cleaning and disinfection campaigns, and the provision of essential hygiene supplies. The initiative marks the celebration of Prophet Muhammad's birthday and emphasizes the need for enhanced care for prisoners, especially juveniles, who benefit from increased medical and health services.

Hussein Al-Mukhtafi, a member of the Prisons Committee, highlighted the significance of these activities in promoting charitable work and the ongoing efforts of joint committees to facilitate the release of prisoners. This initiative aims to embody the values of compassion and benevolence, alleviating the suffering of prisoners and their families during the Prophet's birthday celebration.

Dr. Mutahar Al-Marouni, Director of the Capital Sana'a Health Office, stated that the medical camps offer detainees and prisoners essential medical services, including examinations, consultations, diagnoses, and medicines, under the slogan 'Compassionate among themselves.' This effort coincides with the commemoration of the Prophet's birthday.

Colonel Akram Al-Madani, Director of the Preventive and Curative Medicine Department, noted that distributing medical and cultural materials is crucial for providing healthcare and raising cultural awareness among prisoners and residents of juvenile care homes.

Mohammed Al-Arafi, Director of Social Care Centers and Homes and Director of the Boys' Social Guidance Home, praised the Prisons Committee, the Capital Secretariat's Health and Environment Office, and the General Department of Preventive Medicine at the Ministry of Interior for their dedication to caring for juveniles and children at risk of delinquency.
