Al-wahdah district: Al-Wahdah District in the Capital Municipality held two community meetings on Tuesday as part of preparatory and mobilization activities encouraging broad participation in the central celebration marking the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad.

According to Yemen News Agency, at the first meeting, First Deputy Mayor of Sana'a Khalid Al-Madani said that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is not merely an occasion for joy and celebration, but also an opportunity for reflection, drawing lessons, linking the glorious past with the painful present, and looking toward the desired future. He noted that the Prophet's enduring biography provides the Muslim nation with an exemplary leader and role model in confronting aggression and hegemonic forces. He said the occasion represents a renewed spiritual milestone from which Muslims draw lessons of guidance, mercy, dignity, and honor, and seek to emulate the life of the Prophet Muhammad.

Al-Madani stressed the importance of raising social awareness and introducing people to key aspects of the Prophet's biography, as well as addressing shortcomings in people's relationship with Allah by following His commands and avoiding His prohibitions as set out in the Holy Qur'an. District Director Sami Humaid emphasized that commemorating the birth of the one sent by Allah as a mercy to the worlds represents a renewal of commitment to the Muhammadi, Islamic identity, to the values of steadfastness, sacrifice, and struggle that, he said, the Yemeni people embody in confronting aggression and the blockade, supporting the causes and sanctities of the Muslim nation. He emphasized the importance of active participation in the celebrations and broad mobilization for the central Prophet's Birthday event, reflecting the depth of attachment, loyalty, and love for the final Prophet and Messenger.

Cultural activist Dr. Mohammed Al-Wuhaishi highlighted that the Holy Qur'an contains numerous verses addressing the characteristics, mentality, and conduct of the Jews and exposing their methods and practices. He stressed the need for Muslims to reflect on these verses in order to recognize what he described as the true enemy, noting that the Qur'an is a guide and constitution for life. He added that Yemen's position on the Palestinian cause has never been merely a political or circumstantial choice, but rather a religious, humanitarian, and moral duty stemming from its Islamic identity and adherence to the Prophet's teachings and Qur'anic approach.

At another preparatory meeting, Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Ghassan Al-Madani reviewed aspects of the Prophet's biography, emphasizing the importance of commemorating the occasion as an expression of gratitude and praise to Allah for granting humanity the blessing of guidance and sending the Prophet as a mercy to the worlds, a bearer of glad tidings, a warner, and a guide. He highlighted the Prophet's great standing in the hearts of Muslims in general and Yemenis in particular, describing him as an exemplary model for humanity in morality, values, justice, mercy, and humanity. He also pointed to the lessons derived from the life of the final Prophet and Messenger, including his perseverance, principles, struggle, and the importance of applying them in daily life.

The two meetings were attended by Al-Wahdah District Mobilization Official Abdullah Al-Dharafi, along with local, executive, and mobilization officials, community leaders, prominent figures, and a number of shop owners from the district. Meanwhile, residents of Al-Safiya Al-Wusta neighborhood in Al-Umana'a area of Al-Wahdah District held a celebratory evening marking the Prophet's Birthday. The event, attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Ammar Hadi, District Director Sami Humaid, Mobilization Official Abdullah Al-Dharafi, and several officials, featured speeches, cultural and religious chants, poetry, and traditional heritage performances expressing joy and celebration of the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad.
