Ibb Endowments and Guidance Office Celebrates Prophet’s Birthday with Cultural Event

Ibb: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance Office in Ibb governorate on Wednesday commemorated the Prophet Muhammad's birthday with a cultural event entitled 'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are firm against the disbelievers and compassionate among themselves.'

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Shura Council member Ahmed Baalawi and the governorate's Cultural Sector Official Abdul Hakim Muqbil. Deputy Director of the Endowments and Guidance Office, Saddam Al-Omaysi, emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a faith-based occasion to reflect on the noble biography of the Messenger, renew attachment to his guidance, approach, values, and morals, and translate the meanings of the Muhammadan message into practical life, thereby strengthening the unity and cohesion of the Muslim nation.

Al-Omaysi stated that the Yemeni people's celebrations of the occasion are a continuation of the actions of their forefathers, the Ansar, who supported the Messenger of Allah and helped spread the teachings of Islam. He urged the governorate's residents to actively participate in the central event as a demonstration of love and reverence for the Noble Prophet.

Member of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, Mohammed Al-Humairi, highlighted that commemorating the birth of the Seal of the Prophets underscores his significant position in the consciousness of the Muslim nation. It renews awareness of his message centered on guidance, justice, support for truth, and the defense of the oppressed. He emphasized that adherence to the Muhammadan approach and attachment to Allah and His Messenger are foundational for steadfastness in facing challenges.

Al-Humairi called for utilizing the occasion to enhance awareness and faith-based identity, stressing the role of scholars and preachers in raising community awareness and reinforcing its connection to the values and principles brought by the Noble Prophet. He also underscored the importance of supporting the causes and holy sites of the Muslim nation and confronting attempts to insult the Holy Qur'an, stating that love for the Prophet necessitates reverence for the Book of Allah and enhancing its presence in society.

Addressing the occasion, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saeedi spoke on the significance of steadfastness and faith in Allah's victory when confronting challenges. He stressed that emulating the Noble Prophet and adhering to his values and principles provide strength and steadfastness for the nation. Commemorating his blessed birth should translate into practical conduct that reflects his morals in dealing with others, solidarity, benevolence, and justice.

Dr. Al-Saeedi noted that repeated insults against the Holy Qur'an target the sacred values and principles of the Muslim nation, necessitating greater community awareness, adherence to the Holy Qur'an and its teachings, and strengthening its presence in the lives of future generations to preserve the nation's identity and sacred values.

The event featured cultural, chanting, poetry, and performance segments expressing joy over the occasion. It was attended by Deputy Directors of the Governorate Endowments and Guidance Office Mohammed Al-Houthi and Anwar Qadhi, Director of the Office's Financial Affairs Khaled Al-Hamdi, Al-Mashnah District Endowments Director Adel Al-Gharbani, along with several scholars, social figures, office staff, and employees.
